“It’s Really Hard to Have 10 Great Seasons or 15 Great Seasons”- Tom Brady Explains How Longevity Makes Lewis Hamilton Stand Out From Other F1 Drivers
When it comes to longevity and accomplishments in their respective sports, Lewis Hamilton and Tom Brady are pretty similar. Both men have been a part of their respective sport for over a decade and during that time have achieved everything there is to achieve in the sport and have even broken multiple records in the process. Brady is a six-time Super Bowl winner with his beloved New England Patriots, and Lewis Hamilton is a seven-time F1 world champion, with six of those being with the Mercedes-AMG F1 team.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Tom Brady shared his thoughts on his good friend Lewis Hamilton and what makes him stand out from other drivers on the grid. He said, “I think he’s an artist. I think when he sees the racetrack, he sees it different than everyone else does. I just think he probably sees lines on the track no one else can see. Anyone can have five great seasons, but it’s really hard to have 10 great seasons or 15 great seasons that takes different traits, different qualities.”
Brady went on to share his thoughts on the infamous ending of last year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and how Hamilton handled the loss. He said, “He handled it as gracefully as anyone possibly could imagine.” Hamilton famously lost out on his record-breaking 8th world title at the last race of the 2021 season after race director Michael Masi did not follow the regular protocols once the safety car was broughtout which handed Hamilton’s championship rival Max Verstappen the championship as well as the race win.
