“It’d be Golden State”: LeBron James Picks the West Coast Side Over Boston Celtics When Asked Which Team He’d Play For

Since the 2015 NBA Finals, LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors have had several memorable confrontations. From that year through 2018, the Warriors and Cavaliers were a foregone conclusion in the Finals, with Golden State winning three of the four titles. But despite the rivalry, King James has a lot of respect for the team from the Bay area.

With the most recent installment of LeBron vs. the Warriors taking place in last year’s play-in, the two teams wound up on opposite ends of the Western Conference this year, with Golden State finishing third and LeBron and the Lakers missing the play-in completely.

Because the Lakers are not in the playoffs this year, LeBron has had the opportunity to watch and observe as a spectator for one of the rare occasions in his career. Despite his long and tumultuous relationship with Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, LeBron chose the Dubs over the Celtics.

LeBron James chose the Golden State Warriors over the Boston Celtics when asked which remaining playoff TEAM he’d want to play for. In a forthcoming episode of UNINTERRUPTED’s The Shop, he explains why he chose the Dub Nation.

“It’d be Golden State,” LeBron said in the trailer below.

“I would love to get into a pissing match with Draymond [Green]. I love when somebody cuss me out.”

In terms of current players, LeBron previously stated that he would like to play alongside Steph Curry. When asked why he chose Steph Curry, LeBron described him as “lethal.” This isn’t the first time LeBron has lavished praise on Curry. Of course, LeBron has faced the Warriors in the NBA Finals several times. When he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers, James faced the California club four times in a row. In 2015, 2017, and 2018, the Warriors won, while the Cavs won the Championship Trophy in 2016.
