During Thursday’s Jets-Browns Hall of Fame game, Zach Wilson’s mother looked great for midseason.

As she sat in the stands at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio, Lisa Wilson, the mother of the Jets’ third-year quarterback, seemed to cast a backward glance at the spectator, indicating that she wasn’t delighted with the remark.

“That would be me politely letting the dude behind me know I didn’t appreciate his comments,” Lisa wrote over the photo.

The proud mother, who is well-known for her fiery online defenses of her son and the Jets, chose not to reveal what was stated at the time.

“Unpopular Opinion…. They shouldn’t sell Alcohol at football games,” she wrote in a separate post. “It brings out the d–k In everyone.”

It’s not apparent whether the two posts refer to the same occurrence.

In another post on her website, Lisa featured a picture of her kid beaming next to Aaron Rodgers, who became the team’s starting quarterback after a pivotal trade in April.

“@aaronrodgers12 I will forever be grateful. Thanks for loving my boy,” she gushed.

Wilson’s girlfriend, Nicolette Dellanno, was also at the exhibition game with Lisa’s friends, family, and herself; she was seated close to Lisa when the fan interaction occurred.
On August 3, 2023, the day before his 24th birthday, Wilson made his preseason debut before being replaced in the regular season by Rodgers.

Wilson showed potential in his first game back after being benched last season during his sophomore slump, even though the Browns upset the Jets 21-16 on Thursday. In the first quarter, the former BYU student tossed a 57-yard pass to Malik Taylor. After the game, Wilson said Rodgers made a “great call” and added, “I have to give him the love there.”

Although Rodgers offered the deep pass, the ultimate play decision was chosen by offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

In the defeat, Zach Wilson completed 3 of 5 passes for 65 yards.

“Zach did a good job,” head coach Robert Saleh said. “He was poised. He looked comfortable in the pocket and delivered the ball on schedule. It was definitely something to build on.”
