Is Tom Brady getting fined for kicking Grady Jarrett? NFL could penalize QB for up to $15K

According to reports, Tom Brady could be facing a fine worth up to $15,000 for kicking Gardy Jarrett last weekend. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was involved in a controversial on-field moment with Jarrett during their 21-15 win over Atlanta on Sunday.

Brady appeared to kick out at Garrett after being tackled to the ground during one play. The incident wasn’t initially observed closely but was later brought out by officials and fans alike. Jarrett sacked Brady but was ironically flagged for roughing the passer. And it appeared that Brady didn’t take the tackle too well before lashing out a foot toward Garrett.

Although Brady didn’t make contact with Garrett there was intent to harm the defensive end. The seven-time Super Bowl winner has also come under scrutiny by fans on social media due to his moment of madness on the field.

As per reports from the league, fines for kicking out players are $10,500 for a first offense and $15,500 for a second. Meanwhile, fines for roughing the passer are at $15,000 for the first offense and $20,000 for the second. It was Jarrett’s first offense of the season in Week 5.

While there is no confirmation as to whether or not Brady will be fined, the NFL is investigating the matter. Nevertheless, fans on social media were quick to react to the matter as well. On Twitter, one wrote, “Tom Brady will just get away with this. He is the NFL’s golden goose.” while another added, “Brady is not getting fined. You can mark my words” A third stated, “Brady simply can’t go around kicking people like that. He is a veteran and should know better.”
