Is Spencer Dinwiddie Looking For A Place in The Los Angeles Lakers?

Spencer Dinwiddie is ready for the summer season.

The Super Team of the Brooklyn Nets didn’t last in the 2021 NBA season. A lot of injuries has affected their performance and a team cannot compete with just one player. Therefore, the season ended for the Super Team before finals and now is the time to make changes. Amid all the chaos Spencer Dinwiddie is making a comeback to the court. He announced his powerful comeback from his ACL injury with an Instagram post.

Spencer Dinwiddie has a pending free agency. It looks like he is ready to make a move. He already teased that home is his preferred destination. Whereas he would also secure his financial future. The fact that the Nets already has their three main players makes it difficult for Spencer to have a future with them. Also, he is currently undervalued and therefore moving out is the best possible option for him.

Can Spencer Dinwiddie join the Lakers this season?

Spencer Dinwiddie is in a good shape now. It looks like he has recovered from his injury. Dinwiddie’s game is also improving and he deserves a major bag. However, the Los Angeles Lakers are already having two major contracts with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. I don’t think they can give Spencer the contract he is looking for. Spencer may want to go home to LA but the Lakers can’t pay him the value in terms of money.

Another potential option for Spencer Dinwiddie is Los Angeles Clippers. The chances of landing in Clippers is more than that of Lakers. If Kawhi Leonard opt-out of the Clippers then Spencer will have a chance. However, the Clippers will also think twice before signing Dinwiddie. It will also be difficult for them to offer a competitive contract to Spencer as per his worth.
