With the help of a snapshot they shared on Monday night, Kevin Durant and Rhyne Howard have social media a-buzz.
The Phoenix Suns player appeared to lean his head on hers as they took a close-up selfie, which the Atlanta Dream guard posted.
The WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2022 Howard simply wrote, “Oh hey,” and accompanied it with an emoticon of a happy face with red hearts.
The picture seems to have been shot after the Suns’ 117-116 victory over the Blazers at Footprint Center, where 23-year-old Howard was present. Durant also reposted it on his Instagram Story.
Moreover, she uploaded a picture of herself watching the game from the stands.
Some others questioned the two’s relationship after reading Howard’s article.

The chatter is still unaddressed by Durant and Howard.
The two-time WNBA All-Star and Durant may have just been pals and she was just backing him up.
The NBA champion has also made a point of publicly stating his support for both the WNBA and women’s sports in general.

Durant had his arm around her shoulder when Howard shared the picture with him in January.
At the moment, she penned, “Ya favorite player’s favorite player.”
She slipped into Durant’s DMs while watching one of his games, according to Howard, who later described how the picture came to be taken.

“It had been brought to my attention that I was one of his favorite players and I was like, ‘Thee Kevin Durant loves me?’” In March, Howard reflected on “The It Girls” podcast from Mercury.
“And so I was home on a break I went to a game… and I DM’d him and said ‘I think I need to meet you officially, so can I come down?”
Howard continued by saying that Durant sent someone to pick her up.

“We talked a little bit,” she said. “He’s very chill, very nice and ended up taking that picture.
“I tried to get him to take a TikTok with me… but he was too tired. I texted him not too long ago saying ‘I guess I have to replace my Nets jersey with a Suns jersey — and he’s like, ‘Yeah, lol’ and he was saying how he was trying to get to some of our games and stuff like that.”
Additionally, Howard made light of the fact that Klay Thompson, a former Warriors teammate of Durant’s, is her favorite NBA player and that she would “100%” marry him.
