Is Jayson Tatum playing tonight vs Bucks? Celtics star’s availability update ahead of Game 4
The Boston Celtics will lock horns with the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4 of their NBA Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday, May 9th. The game is scheduled to commence at 7:30 PM ET (Tuesday, 5:00 AM IST) at the Fiserv Forum Arena in Wisconsin.
However, NBA fans are keen to know whether or not Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum will play in the game against the Bucks on Monday. The 24-year-old has played an instrumental role in the Celtics’ run thus far and is expected to be the go-to man for Ime Udoka’s side if they are to get past the defending NBA champions.
Is Jayson Tatum playing tonight vs Bucks? Update on Boston Celtics star’s fitness
Earlier on Monday, the Boston Celtics listed Jayson Tatum as ‘available’ for Game 4 of the series vs the Bucks. The three-time All-Star also trained with the team and looked in a determined mood.

Reports revealed that Taum had suffered a wrist injury on his left hand during Game 3 vs the Bucks. But while speaking to reporters after the game, the Celtics superstar said that he was dealing with the issue for quite a while.
“My wrist problem is I’ve been dealing with for probably like two months now. It wasn’t anything abnormal, when I fall on it, it bothers me, but nothing that I haven’t been dealing with the last couple of months,” said Tatum after the Celtics lost Game 3.
So, barring any late injury concern or setback on his wrist, Jayson Tatum is expected to start against the Bucks on Monday night. He is expected to play a massive part if the Celtics are to level the series against the reigning NBA champions.
Tatum was averaging 26.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game during the course of the regular season. He scored 21 points in Game 1 vs the Bucks in which the Celtics suffered defeat. But his 29 points in Game 2 saw Boston level the series. Tatum looked rather off-colour in Game 3 and scored only 10 points as the Bucks took a 2-1 lead in the series.
Perfect storm brewing for Jayson Tatum… now the Celtics are what feels like a must win game 4, and the whole world is doubting him. Perfect time to bounce back, and take control of the series and that narrative. That's what legends do. We're about to see who he is
