Is Daniel Jones’ Return Skeptical Post Injury?
QB Daniel Jones of the New York Giants is capable of performing all tasks required by his position, including running, throwing, lifting weights, going to meetings, and practising.
Is Daniel Jones’ Return Skeptical Post Injury?
He has been working toward absorbing contact every day of his rehabilitation since sustaining a neck injury in a Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins, but it is the one thing he is currently unable to do since he has not yet obtained approval.
Daniel Jones of the New York Giants claimed his neck is “sore” after leaving 31-16 defeat to the Miami Dolphins. Jones was replaced by Tyrod Taylor in the second half after Jones departed the game.

It’s difficult to think of another recent athlete who changed the overall narrative of his career more significantly or in a shorter period of time than Jones did in 2022.
Jones did not play the remaining 12 minutes after sustaining a neck injury Sunday, similar to the one that sidelined him for the final six games in 2021, when his 28th sack absorbed in five games this season behind a nonfunctional offensive line became too much to bear.

“It’s tough to say for sure, I’ve certainly dealt with similar issues,” Jones said about the injury.
Though Jones claims previous athletes have experienced something similar and have returned to play after successfully completing therapy, he is still optimistic that he can overcome this most recent setback.
“I think when you see other guys that have similar situations as mine, and they’re able to progress and come back. I’m following a similar timeline to that,” he said. “That’s kind of the optimism, and it’s a different injury than last time.”

“I think there are certain symptoms that (doctors) are looking for and testing for, from a pain level and based on how I feel,” he stated. “I feel good, and that’s been the communication from that symptom standpoint.”
All Jones can do is keep going full bore into his rehabilitation until he passes the exams, which will include doing some things the doctors want him to do but haven’t yet).

“I feel good, and from a pain level, I feel good. I don’t have any pain, and it’s just passing a couple more tests,” he said, noting that his status was “kind of a week-to-week thing” regarding his rehab.
“I mean, I think any time you’re talking about the neck, you’ve got to understand the risk of reinjury and what would happen if you were to reinjure it,” Jones said.
