Is Clara Fernandez, the new Paige Spiranac of track and field

Clara Fernandez can now be added to the list of athletes making waves in the influencer industry.

The Spanish-born pole vaulter, who is 19 years old, has approximately 500,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok.

Fernandez, a Nike athlete, has been known online as the “Paige Spiranac of pole vaulting,” thanks to the popularity of her material with followers.

In addition to posting images from her workouts and competitions,  Clara Fernandez, who according to The Sun has won at least 21 championships since 2018, also routinely shares images from her excursions, such as a romantic getaway in March to Fuerteventura, one of Spain’s Canary Islands.

She captioned a collection of Instagram pictures with the phrase “Already in love with this island,” which also included her partner, businessman Marc Lerch.

She was unable to advance past the semifinals in the Colombia World Athletics U20 Championships the previous year.

In August 2022, she posted her first Instagram caption, “At the gates of the finals.”

“I dreamed of being in that final, I gave it my all, but it wasn’t enough. After a season full of injuries, I can only be grateful to have come this far and keep trying.”

Fernandez had no doubts about accepting the “new.”

In a TikTok video posted in May, Fernandez boldly proclaimed, “New season, new outfit pt. II.”
