American professional basketball player Danny Green plays for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. He represented the University of North Carolina in college basketball (UNC). He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 46th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draught after winning the NCAA title his senior year. Green established an NBA record for the most made three-point field goals in a Finals series during the 2013 NBA Finals (23).
The next year, he won an NBA championship with the San Antonio Spurs, making him just the third player from UNC to have done it (the others being James Worthy and Michael Jordan). He earned his third NBA championship in 2020 while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, following his second championship in 2019 while playing for the Toronto Raptors.

Green, who is well-known for his perimeter defense, has contributed significantly on both ends of the floor during the course of his NBA career and was named to his first NBA All-Defensive Second Team during the 2016–17 campaign.
