Indianapolis Colts’ Mo Alie-Cox Fantasy: TE NFL Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

Mo Alie-Cox, a 6-foot-5, 267-pound tight end for the Indianapolis Colts, re-signed with the organization in March on a three-year deal. With Jack Doyle’s retirement, Mo should play a more significant role in 2022.

Mo Alie-Cox’s path to the NFL was unlikely. The Indianapolis Colts made the decision to prioritize Mo Alie-Cox as a rookie free agency following the NFL draft as a result of his strong workout. Since then, the Colts have spent the last four seasons molding the physically freakishly uber-athletic player.

Mo has demonstrated several times that he can play forcefully with the ball in his hands due to his outstanding size and strength. You can see him using his power in the example below to drive past the defense and secure the first down.

Mo Alie Cox fantasy data

The 6-foot-5 giant has gotten a lot of playing time and has been on the Fantasy periphery, but his stats haven’t kept up.

When paired with a Hall of Famer or a rookie first-round selection, new quarterback Matt Ryan hasn’t always been a friend to tight ends, but if Michael Pittman is the only available target, Alie-Cox may reach career highs in every statistical category. Whether or if that translates into favorable Fantasy stats is another matter.

If you were to take the streaming way, Mo Alie-Cox is one of your alternatives because of the matchups against the Texans and Jaguars in weeks 1 and 2, respectively, which have some upside. For fantasy managers in deeper leagues, we see Alie-Cox at most developing into a TE2 option that is dependent on touchdowns.
