‘I’m Unbeaten Against Brazil’- Conor McGregor Says He’s ‘Excited to Fight the Brazilian’ Charles Oliveira After UFC 274

UFC megastar Conor McGregor has been busy tonight following UFC 274 as he’s received multiple call-outs from top names in the sport. Notably, Charles Oliveira secured a sensational submission victory over Justin Gaethje in round one via RNC and called out McGregor for a title fight unification bout.

‘Do Bronx’ lost the battle on the scale after weighing in 0.5 pounds over the limit and was stripped of his title. However, he reminded fans that with or without the belt, he was still the best lightweight fighter on the planet and he’s building an all-time great resume.

While McGregor wouldn’t deserve a title shot on merit, he’s still the biggest name in the sport and everyone is keen to call him out. ‘Do Bronx’ made it clear that he was angling for a money fight against McGregor, and the Irishman took to Twitter and responded to his call-out.

“I’m not sure I wish to cut the weight. I am really enjoying being built like a refrigerator. I feel I want to fight at this size just to watch it back lol. But I’d love to fight the Brazilian, 100%! I love Brazil and I’m unbeaten against Brazil. All KO’s. I’ve some thinking to do”

Conor McGregor vs Charles Oliveira: A spectacle in Brazil?

‘Notorious’ McGregor truly exploded in the mainstream once he blasted Brazilian ace Jose Aldo when they met back in 2015. Moreover, it seems as though he’s keen to continue his streak against Brazilian fighters by taking on Charles Oliveira.

However, the competition is stiff at lightweight with fighters like Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush waiting in the wings. Makhachev and his mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov took to Twitter after UFC 274 and made it clear that Islam Makhachev vs Charles Oliveira was the fight to make next.

Moreover, former opponent Dustin Poirier also threw his hat in the ring and revealed that rematching Oliveira was on top of his priority list.

However, that is unlikely to happen since Poirier was definitively submitted when he faced ‘Do Bronx’ not that long ago.
