“I’m not gonna slow down anytime soon” – Warriors icon Steph Curry reveals he’s not thinking about retirement
Steph Curry will be regarded as one of the greatest players to have ever graced the NBA. But we won’t be saying that anytime soon because the Golden State Warriors superstar wants to continue playing for a long time.
The four-time NBA champion is still one of the best players in the division and is showing the reason why he is a cut above the rest. Curry is averaging a sensational 30.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game this season despite the Warriors’ poor start to the campaign.
However, Curry will be turning 35 next year in March and there have been rumors of the star shooter potentially calling it quits as he has won several accolades during his basketball career.

At the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards, Steph Curry won the top honor for the first time in his career. But he was asked about his retirement as well to which he didn’t shut down the reporter, but instead claimed that he has no plans of slowing down soon. He also likened himself to NFL QB Tom Brady by saying: “Great question. I feel like — actually, I talked to Tom Brady at one point about how he’s at the point of his career where he’s still playing at a high level at 44 or whatever it is. His example and his advice was to just take it a year at a time. There’s no way to fast forward. That’s not how you got to this point, so don’t rush yourself and think about how long you can do it. Your body will tell you and I don’t see myself slowing down any time soon.”
