“I Wish I Could….”- Aaron Rodgers Provides a Concerning Update on His Lingering Finger Injury

The Green Bay Packers have a host of issues that they need to fix at the moment. Quarterback and main man Aaron Rodgers being put on the injured list is not something they want added to their list of problems. Unfortunately for the Packers, the updates regarding Rodgers and his injury are not favorable at this point in time.

Over the past few weeks, Rodgers has not been practicing on Wednesdays. This week, he did. While that might be seen as good news for Packers fans, Rodgers explained that things might seem better than they’re with regard to him and his injury.

In a press conference, he said, “Well, I heard it was going to be just a jog-through, so I figured I might as well get down there and be around,” Rodgers said from the locker room. “I wish I could tell you it was feeling better. But it was more just the necessity of jog-through, and feel like my presence down there was kind of more important today than an hour of rehab.”

Rodgers suffered this injury during his team’s week five clash against the Giants. Since then, the injury has been bothering the 38-year-old who has taken it easy in between games. While fans as well as the franchise hoped that things would get better, it has not.

A closer look at Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in 2022

The season started with a loss against the Vikings for the Packers. After the loss, the Packers bounced back and won three games on the trot. Unfortunately, since then things have gone downhill for Rodgers and his men as they lost the next four games and are most likely out of postseason contention.

Rodgers has had a number of qualms with his team this season. Chief among them, the 2021 MVP has criticized his receiving corps majorly and in public. He has also expressed his disappointment in the fact that the Packers did not sign anyone in the off-season as the deadline expired on the 1st of this month. It will be interesting to see how things shape up from here and where the Packers ultimately end up.
