“I was miserable,” Said Kelly Stafford Wife Of Rams QB Matthew Stafford Remembering The Super Bowl
In contrast to her husband, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, Kelly Stafford’s path to the Super Bowl in 2022 wasn’t as ideal.
Kelly said about how she felt “miserable” and almost ninety pounds during the 2021–22 season, when Stafford led the Rams to a 23–20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on February 13. Kelly made these memories on a recent edition of her podcast, “The Morning After.”

“I felt like I was so nervous that Super Bowl year [2022] for Matthew. Every game I couldn’t hold anything down,” Kelly stated, putting emphasis on the fact that that season saw increased demands. “I was miserable. I was miserable. I think I weighed 90 pounds.”
Speaking with Emily Mayfield, the wife of Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, who was a guest on Kelly’s podcast, she discussed that certain NFL seasons have felt more easygoing than others.

“What a whirlwind that must’ve been for you,” In response to Emily’s statement, Kelly responded, “Looking back, it was just very blurry.”
When it came down to the closing seconds at SoFi Stadium in Super Bowl 2022, Matthew Stafford’s new team, the Rams, defeated the Bengals under his leadership in his first season.
Before being dealt to Los Angeles in January 2021, the veteran signal-caller had 12 seasons with the Lions. With less than two minutes left, he led the Rams on a game-winning score drive that gave them a 23-20 lead.
