“I Wanna Go Make More Money for My Family”- Tony Ferguson Blasts ‘Drug Dealer’ Dana White for Limiting Opportunities Outside the UFC

Tony Ferguson has been a part of the UFC since 2011. In 11 years with the company, ‘El Cucuy’ has fought the very best in the UFC and more often than not come out victorious. After winning the ultimate fighter, Ferguson went on to win 12-fights in a row a period during which he looked seemingly unbeatable.

Ferguson’s 12-fight win streak came to a grinding halt against Charles Oliveira and since then Ferguson has lost three straight fights. In the pre-fight press conference, Ferguson shared his thoughts about the UFC and the current contract he is under, which does not allow him to take part in other ventures outside the sport.

He said, “People like bloodshed, which is cool, but as long as no one is having fu**ing too much of it, I guess that is a good thing. Come Saturday night, everyone is fortunate that we have warriors going out there and doing their job. I think we’re underpaid personally, I am going to be real. I am not going to say too much. Dana said something the other day…. Talking about how boxers are overpaid, I asked Dana to box he said f**k no.”

‘El Cucuy’ continued, “I am like why I wanna go play baseball. I wanna play other pro sports. I am an athlete. I grew up playing different sports at a very high level… I wanna go do all these things but I have this guy right here acting like a f**king drug dealer telling me I can’t go and do this shit. I wanna go make more money for my family.”

A fourth straight loss might be the end of Tony Ferguson and his time at the UFC

‘El Cucuy’ has lost three straight fights against the likes of Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, and Beneil Dariush. In all three fights, Ferguson was dominated from start to finish.

In his recent fights, Ferguson has not displayed any sense of urgency or will to win. Given his sour relationship with the UFC at the moment, a fourth straight loss might spell the end of Ferguson’s relationship with the UFC
