“I Think I Can Win MVP Again”- Aaron Rodgers Hints at a Move Away From Packers to Fulfill His Ambitions
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had a disastrous season this year. They struggled massively with their offense early on with Rodgers publicly criticizing the rookie wide receivers. In the final game week of the season, the Packers had a chance to get into the playoffs if they secured a win against the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, Aaron Rodgers and his men fell short as the game ended 20-16 in favor of the Lions.

Ever since the loss, there have been a lot of rumors circulating around what Rodgers might do next given his age. It is unclear at this point in time if he will look to swap teams or retire altogether. He still has time left on his Packers contract given in 2022. The four-time league MVP signed a three-year extension on his contract worth $150 million.
Aaron Rodgers needs the right tools
In a recent interview with Pat McAfee, Rodgers spoke about what might be next for him. When asked if he can have another MVP season, he said, “Do I still think I can play? Of course. Can I play at a high level? Yeah, the highest. I think I can win MVP again in the right situation.”

Aaron Rodgers continued, “Right situation, is that Green Bay or is that somewhere else? I’m not sure. But I don’t think you should shut down any opportunity. But like I said during the season, it’s got to be both sides actually wanting to work together, moving forward.”

Rodgers has been at odds with the Packers over the last year or so due to the organization’s unwillingness to add elite players, especially in the receiving department. Despite having a substandard receiving unit, Rodgers posted 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions showing once again that he is an elite QB. It would have been interesting to see how far he could have taken the team if he had good receivers.
