“I Really Like Being the Underdog”- Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons Shares His Mentality Ahead of the Clash Against the 49ERS
The Dallas Cowboys take on the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the 2022 NFL playoffs. Not many expected the Cowboys to reach this stage, many fans as well as pundits expected the Cowboys to crash out against the Bucs who they took on in the wild-card round. However, not only did the Cowboys win against the Bucs, they absolutely demolished Tom Brady and his men.

Despite that performance, the Cowboys are an underdog against the San Francisco 49ers. And this does not sit well with linebacker Micah Parsons. In a recent interview, he said, “Honestly, I think you should feed into it, you should love that stuff.”

Parsons continued, “When no one believes in you, that’s the best feeling; not when everyone believes in you and the Kool-Aid is up and everyone is smiling like, ‘They can’t lose. They’re too good.’ I don’t want that feeling because then it’s like, damn, what if I don’t win? When you’re already at the bottom, you can only go up. I really like being the underdog.”
Can the Dallas Cowboys make it two upsets in a row?
The Dallas Cowboys’ season last year was ended by the San Francisco 49ers. They will be hoping to make that two in a row this weekend. Ever since the acquisition of Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers have looked extremely strong and seem like a team that can go deep into the playoffs.

However, the likes of Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb among others will have a thing or two to say about it when the two sides clash. Parsons has been immense this season for the Cowboys, this season, number 11 has to his name, 42 solo tackles, 13.5 sacks. He will be a problem that the 49ers will have to find a solution for immediately or Jimmy G will be on his back facing the sky more times than not when they play.
