“I have never met her, never talked to her,” said Austin Reaves as he declined his relationship rumors with Taylor Swift.

The claims that Austin Reaves ever dated Taylor Swift are being dismissed as untrue rumors.

Rumors of a romance between Reaves, and the singer circulated on social media when Reaves was dominating for the Lakers during the NBA playoffs after Swift ended her relationships with Joe Alwyn and later Matty Healy.

On the “All the Smoke” podcast, Reaves made an appearance, and co-host Stephen Jackson questioned him about the rumors.

“I have never met her, never talked to her,” Reaves answered.

The other podcaster, Matt Barnes, then enquired as to whether it was all BS.

Reaves laughed at the rumors that the two were seen together in a pub in Arkansas, saying, “All bulls-t —, I ain’t never talked to her.”

Reaves didn’t sound like someone interested in tabloid publicity when asked if he was interested in Swift.

“I’m gonna stay out of the media,” he said.

Reaves and Jenna Barber began dating in 2014 when they were both still in their adolescent years in Arkansas.

Barber received his University of Arkansas diploma last December.

Reaves agreed to a four-year deal with the Lakers this offseason, earning close to $54 million, per Spotrac.

He provided an explanation of his decision to stay with the squad on the podcast.

“I really wanted to be in L.A. the whole time,” Reaves said. “There was a couple situations that were close, but like I said, I really wanted to be in L.A. L.A. feels like home to me, so that’s really where I wanted to be.”

The other two teams, who were they?

“Houston, before the [Fred VanVleet deal], and then San Antonio,”  Austin Reaves revealed.

This previous season, the Lakers advanced to the Western Conference Finals before being swept by the Nuggets. They will also have LeBron James for the 2023–24 season after the superstar made cryptic comments about a potential retirement following their season-ending defeat.
