“I Have Bigger Sh*t to Do”-Nate Diaz Teases a Fight Against Jake Paul as He Pleads the UFC for a Release Once Again
There are not many fighters in the UFC that command the same level of attention and fanfare that Nate Diaz does. The younger Diaz brother has been in the UFC for 15 years now. However, he shot to fame after his infamous win over Conor McGregor in 2016, since then Diaz has become a household name among UFC fans.
Diaz has fought thrice in the last five years. His most recent outing was a five-round fight against top welterweight contender Leon Edwards. Edwards dominated the fight from the very first minute and only slipped up when he was stunned and badly hurt by one of Diaz’s shots in the fourth round of the fight.

Since that fight, the Stockton native has been wanting to fight again. However, the UFC has not displayed the same level of urgency in giving him a fight. Diaz took to Twitter a few minutes back to once again implore the UFC to book a fight for him. He said, “Ufc release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or august. I have bigger sh*t to do.” Diaz posted a video of Tyron Woodley getting knocked out by Jake Paul along with the caption suggesting that he wants to try out the world of boxing against ‘The Problem Child’.

Nate Diaz behind held up by the UFC for a Conor McGregor fight?
It is very well known that Diaz is on the last fight of his UFC contract. For a while now, Diaz has been pleading with the UFC to book him for a fight so he can pursue interests outside the UFC. Unfortunately for Diaz, the UFC has not given him a fight thus far. The common consensus is that the promotion is waiting for McGregor to heal up so they can fix a fight between the two.
If Diaz were to be released, a fight with Jake Paul could definitely take place since both parties seem interested. It would also be a massive payday for Diaz. However, at this point in time, it looks like a distant reality.
