‘I fell in love with basketball again because of Giannis’ – NBA legend hails Bucks superstar
Giannis Antetokounmpo is an absolute phenomenon in the NBA. He is nicknamed the ‘Greek Freak’ and for good reason as he often leaves basketball fans amazed with his incredible athleticism and tenacity on the court. It’s fair to say that he is also one of the best players in the league.
But Antetokounmpo’s performances for the Milwaukee Bucks have not only been eye-catching for regular fans, in fact, they have also helped former Lakers superstar Michael Cooper fall in love with basketball again.
Serge Ibaka: "Do you feel like you are the face of the league?"
Giannis: "No. LeBron is still playing. Steph just won a championship. KD is still hooping. Embiid is killing. Jokic back-to-back MVP. Luka Magic. There's a lot of people out there."pic.twitter.com/N8yXEooIsh

Byrton Scott loves watching Giannis Antetokounmpo play basketball
While speaking on Byron Scott’s podcast, Cooper explained how he did not like the direction in which the NBA was heading due to certain types of players. But since Antetokounmpo’s dominance and bullying attitude on the court, he has once again found joy in watching the sport.
He said, “When I watch Giannis play, I feel like I love basketball. He made me love basketball again. I didn’t like the way the league was heading with hyping certain kinds of players. But Giannis, he brings a different flavor to the league that suits my taste.”
"I would say just the dominance… The way he plays complements the way I play. I would bring something to the table that complements what he does and vice versa."@Dame_Lillard on why he would pick Giannis to help him win a championship
