“I Feel Like He Is a Quarterback That Provides the Complete Package”- Stefon Diggs Shares Why Josh Allen Is the Best Quarterback in the League
We’re just four days away from the start of the 2022 football season. This year, as always, there are a number of teams that look in a good position to win the Super Bowl. However, according to the oddsmakers, the Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, are the favorites to win the league at +650. Last season ended in pain, anger, and despair for the Bills as they lost in overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs.
This season, the addition of the likes of Von Miller and Rodger Saffold III among other players makes the Bills a strong favorite to win the title. In a recent interview with Pat McAfee, wide receiver Stefon Diggs shared his thoughts on Allen and what makes him stand out from the rest of the quarterbacks in the league.
He said, “Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the league. You know I am not just saying that because he is my quarterback, you’ve seen him have explosive games, crazy games, you’ve seen him run, you’ve seen him jump over corners, run over DBs, challenge linebackers. I feel like he is a quarterback that provides the complete package. He can throw the hell out of a ball. He is a leader, I have seen his approach change this year as well as far as how he has been. He is a playful guy, he has a lot of fun out there.”
Last season, in passing stats, Allen had, 409 completions on 646 attempts (63.3% completion) for 4,407 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. When it came to rushing stats, 122 attempts for 763 yards and six touchdowns.
Can Josh Allen lead the Buffalo Bills to the promised land?
The Buffalo Bills start their season on September 9th as they take on Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams in what will be an extremely tough season opener. The Bills finished last season with an 11-6 record and fixed a lot of their weak areas in this off-season.
Allen will be hoping that the likes of Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and Devin Singletary, among others have the same kind of performance they did last season if the Bills are to reach anywhere near the final.
