“I Don’t Like None of That Sh*t”- Lions Safety Blasts Aaron Rodgers for Lack of Respect as a Competitor

For most of his career, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have absolutely dominated the regular season. The Packers have arguably been the best team in the NFC North ever since Aaron Rodgers got the starting job in 2008. During his time as the starting quarterback, the reigning NFL MVP has led his team to the playoffs 12 times with a record of (12-10) in the postseason.

His crowning achievement with the Packers came in 2011 when he led them to a Super Bowl win over the Steelers. This season, unfortunately, Aaron Rodgers and his men have struggled massively initially, but over the past few weeks have turned things around. The Packers currently have a record of 8-8 and in the final game week of the season take on the Detroit Lions, the winner will guarantee a place in the playoffs while the loser will end what has been a below-par season.

Lions safety blasts Aaron Rodgers

In the lead-up to the game, DeShon Elliott shared his thoughts on Aaron Rodgers and why he does not like the four-time league MVP. He said, “The way he carries himself, I don’t like none of that sh*t. A-Rod doesn’t respect us, that team doesn’t respect us. We’re going to fight our a*s off, play smash-mouth football.

Elliott continued, “I just feel like as a competitor, bro, you respect everybody in this league, and for you to see something or hear somebody say some wild stuff about you or your teammates, your brothers, shoot, what you going to do. You going to lay down or you going to stand up? So we’re going to go out there and we’re going to stand up.”

While this season has been bad for the Packers, things have been bad for the Lions for a long time now. The Detroit Lions have not reached a playoff game since 2016 and possess the NFL’s longest playoff drought without a win, dating back to Jan. 5, 1992. Given recent form, it is highly unlikely that the Lions will be able to secure a win over the Packers and advance into the playoff games this season.
