How many teams will participate in the NFL this year? Full list of teams from all divisions

Which are the NFL teams participating in the 2022/23 season?

After the epidemic prompted game cancellations and postponements, as well as crowd-less contests in 2020, clubs are hoping for a more typical NFL season this year. This season, the NFL will have 32 clubs, 16 from the American Football Conference (AFC) and 16 from the National Football Conference (NFC) (NFC).

According to the NFL’s regular-season schedule, which was revealed in May, each club will play 17 matches this year, including one bye week. The games will take place over the course of 18 weeks, commencing on September 9th, 2022.

This is an enlargement of the previous 17-week schedule with 16 games. This timetable was followed for the final time in 2020.

As the clubs reported for training camp, many sports organizations released their unique interpretation of the NFL’s current rankings. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs were the teams who regularly came out on top as the favourites to (once again) meet in the Super Bowl.

The NFL-NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement, signed in March 2020, allows the league, with the union’s and players’ consent, to expand the regular season to 17 games, giving fans an extra week of NFL entertainment.

That decision was made today, signifying the first alteration to the schedule format since the 1978 season, when 16 regular-season games and 4 preseason games were introduced. It comes on the heels of the March 18 revelation of long-term content delivery agreements that will provide fans more exposure to NFL games than ever before.

The Buccaneers are heavy favorites to win the NFC again this season. The team’s fundamental components remain intact, and the roster has been improved to better back Tom Brady. With defensive improvements that complement Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are a strong front-runner to capture the AFC.
