How long is Steph Curry out for? Golden State Warriors icon suffers shoulder injury

The 2022–23 NBA season, which was already off to a rocky start for the Golden State Warriors, took a significant setback on Thursday. Steph Curry, their star player and an MVP candidate once more, had a left shoulder subluxation. The 2022–23 season will be harder without Steph.

With little over two minutes remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 125-119 loss on Wednesday. The team announced on Thursday that as per the reports Steph Curry experienced a left shoulder subluxation in Wednesday’s defeat to the Pacers.

Steph Curry reached in with his left hand to take the ball away from Pacers center Jalen Smith and got injured. He immediately grabbed his left shoulder in agony and jerked his arm.  Seeing his level of discomfort and pain the warriors Without wasting much time called for an immediate timeout. He was then sent to the locker room with the director of sports medicine and performance Rick Celebrini.

When will Steph Curry return to action?

Curry will fortunately not need surgery and is anticipated to return to the floor in approximately a month, according to Charania, who made the announcement during an interview on Bally Sports.

Curry will miss at least two weeks, which translates to at least seven games, including the Christmas Day matchup with Ja Morant and the Grizzlies at Chase Center, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, who cited sources. The Warriors said a timeline for Curry’s return would be provided “in the coming days.”

Even though he only played for thirty minutes, he performed substantially better than others. He made 5 of 10 three-pointers and shot 11 of 19 from the field for a total of 38 points in 30 minutes. He also had seven assists and seven rebounds. By the end of the third quarter, the remainder of the Warriors had scored a total of 42 points.

Steph Curry once more found himself in the pages of history on a night marred by grief and yet another road loss. His 250 career 30-point games are now complete. Curry has played in 26 games this season, and in 16 of those games, he has scored 30 points or more.

For the Warriors, Curry’s absence will be a major setback. In the three games he hasn’t played, the Warriors have outscored them by 55 points. Curry’s absence will also probably result in consistent playing time for backup guard Ty Jerome. Jerome has been a part of Golden State’s rotation on the periphery ever since he signed a two-way deal just before the season began.
