How Do You Feel About Sticky Substance Check In MLB So Far?

Pitchers look really comfortable for sticky substance check.

It has been one week now since the process of sticky substance check started in MLB. From New York Mets Jacob deGrom to Athletics Sergio Romo, Amir Garrett or Max Scherzer, different players from different teams have undergone the check. I found it quite smooth and easy for everyone excluding a few. Clearly, Max Scherzer and Sergio Romo are the two major ones that stand apart as not content with the checks. Especially for Scherzer’s situation, it’s difficult to not be resentful about the circumstance.

Mid-inning, third time checked for sticky substance. He is a bulldog on the hill and he simply needs to pitch. He doesn’t want an umpire’s fingers to go through his hair. I get his dissatisfaction, yet you need to deal with it better than he. Try not to toss your glove at the umpire’s feet, don’t throw your cap, possibly be more similar to Shohei Ohtani and simply give your glove and cap for the check.

Is the sticky substance check affecting games?

Stopping any game will cause some trouble to the players. Be it MLB or NFL, nobody wants to lose their focus in the middle of a game. I know that this sticky substance check is really important but the game is most important. However, it cannot be changed unless the association is assured. I don’t how long will it go but it is upsetting at times. Not only for the players but also for the fans who are really into baseball.

In one way or other the games are really affected. It looks like there is a big-time decrease in spin rates also. However, the good part is every pitcher is really cooperating with the sticky substance check process. Also, I want to point it again that please check Jacob deGrom’s blood also. I really think that the guy is not from earth.
