This spring, they shelled out $175.3 million in guaranteed money to free agents. It’s a new league record for the most guaranteed money spent in a single offseason by a franchise. Jacksonville’s roster has definitely improved. Overpaying for free-agent talent may be the Jacksonville Jaguars’ cost in the end. They are now in a horrible position, and the greatest players will not go there unless they are offered a deal that no other team can match.
