Here’s All You Need to Know About Heidi Watney, MLB’s Beautiful Face on Apple TV
American sportscaster Heidi Watney works as a correspondent for Apple TV+. Her previous sportscasting expertise includes positions at MLB Network, New England Sports Network in Boston, Time Warner Cable SportsNet in Los Angeles, and two stations in Fresno. She graduated from the University of San Diego.
Watney started working for Fresno’s KMPH-TV (FOX 26) in September 2003. Prior to becoming the weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter in 2005, she began as the morning traffic reporter.

Watney started working at New England Sports Network (NESN) in 2008 after relocating to Massachusetts. She covered Boston Red Sox games as a reporter. Watney also hosted the Red Sox Report and the Ultimate Red Sox Show.
Watney started working as a reporter for the LA Galaxy for Time Warner Cable SportsNet in January 2012. She did, however, spend nine years working for MLB Network after being hired there in November 2012. She used to be the Quick Pitch host. In 2022, she joined Apple TV+.

One of the faces of Apple TV’s Major League Baseball coverage is back: HEIDI Watney.
The 41-year-old, who has covered sports for two decades, is back for a second season as a sideline reporter for the streaming platform.

Numerous ecstatic comments from Watney’s followers on Instagram welcomed her return to the streaming site, including one that read: “Heidi for President [heart emoji]”
She received the following response to her on-set video: “Charlie’s Angels – Friday Baseball Edition”
Another commenter wrote: “Your whole lineup is amazing. Can’t wait for Friday nights. Always a long winter but I’m so glad baseball is back!”

California native Watney participated in gymnastics, diving, hurdles, and cheerleading as a high school athlete, according to Heavy.

Watney participated in the 2002 Miss California pageant while she was still in school, coming in as the first runner-up.
After that, she relocated to Time Warner, where she spent all of 2012 covering the MLS’s LA Galaxy before going back to the baseball world in 2013.

Before deciding to move back to California, Watney worked for The MLB Network for the next ten years as a reporter and host. She Tweeted: Watney spent the next ten years at The MLB Network as a host and reporter, before she decided to return to California, tweeting: “No. I had a great run on QP but decided to move my home base back to Cali, where my family is.
“I’ll still be in baseball and will share where you can catch me soon. [wink emoji]”
In the end, she called Apple TV after that.

According to Forbes, the streaming service had earlier in 2022 agreed to a seven-year deal to host Friday Night Baseball and an MLB Big Inning highlights program for an estimated $85 million.
