“Helps Them Win”: Giannis Antetokounmpo Admits He’s Not the Best Player in the World, Hints Towards a 4-Time NBA Champion
Giannis Antetokounmpo, the standout forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, just topped ESPN’s annual ranking of the top 100 players heading into the 2022–23 season. But he doesn’t believe he is the best player in the league.
The NBA’s top player is a straightforward discussion for Giannis Antetokounmpo, a standout for the Milwaukee Bucks. Due to his team’s failure to win the league title the previous season, he does not think of himself as the league’s greatest player right now.
When the Bucks won the 2021 NBA Finals, Antetokounmpo, who conceded that he is among the best players in the game, might have staked out the top slot. However, he fell short of the claim after Milwaukee lost to the Boston Celtics in a seven-game series in the second round of the playoffs last year.

Giannis Antetokounmpo feels Stephen Curry is the best player in the NBA
Giannis was questioned about if he believes he is the best player in the world right now during NBA Media Day. ‘No’, the two-time MVP answered. Giannis Antetokounmpo, a standout for the Bucks, implied that the Bay Area now has the best player in the world. He was therefore prepared to hand Stephen Curry the honor instead.
“Do I believe I’m the best player in the world? No. I think the best player in the world is the person that’s the last one standing. It’s the person that takes his team to the [finish line] and helps them win [games] and become champion. Two years ago when we did that, yeah… But now, no. In my opinion, how I view it, the winner is the best.”
