“He’ll look in my face and say, ‘F you” – Stefon Diggs Entangled in Buffalo Bills Reporter’s Viral Mic Blow Up

After being overheard on a hot mic making remarks that seemed to be disparaging of wide receiver Stefon Diggs, a Bills reporter was feeling the heat.

In a video that quickly gained popularity on social media on Wednesday, a member of the press—later identified as team reporter Maddy Glab—could be heard in the background claiming the team was attempting to contact Diggs for media availability.

Glab then began expressing his opinion regarding the prominent wide receiver.

“There’s no control over Stefon Diggs,” she said. “Dude’s gonna do what he wants to do. He’ll look in my face and say, ‘F you.’ How he treats everybody.”

Glab made her own apologies for the event on X, formerly known as Twitter after the video became viral.

“I want to take ownership for what I said today. I am very sorry for what I said and meant no ill will,” she said. “I respect the hell out of Stefon Diggs, and he has been one of my favorite players to cover. He has great character and treats us media with lots of respect. He takes time out of his day to talk to us, which he doesn’t have to do. For context, media was waiting for players to come out for press conferences when a reporter joking told me to go get Stefon Diggs. I said I don’t have control over him – Stef marches to the beat of his own drum and I love that about him.

“He has a playful relationship with our video department, so that’s why I said he probably wouldn’t say yes to me grabbing him for an interview. I should not have said what I said, and I apologize for that. Stef is not in the wrong, I am.”

Neither Diggs nor the Bills have addressed Glab’s remarks in the media.

In the Week 1 loss to the Jets, the 29-year-old hauled in 10 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown.

He was chastised by Michael Irvin on “Undisputed” for gazing at quarterback Josh Allen and patting his head after the game, which Irvin felt was inappropriate treatment of the QB.

In the OT loss, Allen threw three pick-sixes and lost a fumble.

“Stop telling that man: ‘Be smart, be smart,’ because you’re telling everybody else, ‘He’s dumb, he’s dumb, he’s dumb.’ Stop doing that,” Irvin said.

Diggs responded to the former star receiver on “The Voncast” with Von Miller on Wednesday and stated that he tells pretty much everyone on the Bills’ offense the same thing, not just Allen.

“I’m like, what are you talking about? People garnish things from a game and have their own opinion about x, y, z. Like, what are you talking about?” Diggs said on the podcast.

“I say this to the quarterback, I say this to the running backs, I say this to the receivers, to the o-line,” Diggs said. “When you see me pointing to my head, I say let’s play smart. … Some stuff is worth conversation, other stuff is like, alright, alright, alright.”
