Heats Jimmy Butler’s Love For Coffee Has Turned Into An Established Business
Jimmy Butler has led the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals with a stunning playoff performance. Jimmy Buckets won the ECF MVP award as the Heat won the Eastern Conference for the second time in three years after eliminating the Bucks, Knicks, and Celtics. Jimmy has succeeded in operating his “Big Face Coffee” company and managed to do everything.
The NBA great, who was playing for the Heat for the first time, operated a coffee shop out of his apartment in “the bubble.” At the Florida campus, where athletes from 22 teams were holed up, high-quality Joe was in short supply, so the enterprising Butler recognized a commercial opportunity.
6) So that's exactly what he did.

Although it was a big amount to ask, he started asking players $20 for a cup of his freshly prepared coffee since he knew many of his fellow professionals would be happy to pay it.

“All I could think about was how I could hustle these guys out of their cash,” Butler told Thrillist last year. “I knew people had cash and no one was using it because of COVID, so I decided to take cash.”

The strategy worked because the Heat star knew there wouldn’t be many coffee alternatives in the bubble and targeted wealthy NBA players with the price of the coffee. After making hundreds of sales in Orlando in 2021, Butler collaborated with Shopify to start the company through their creator program.

Prior to building a brick-and-mortar business, he heavily marketed BIGFACE after launching it on International Coffee Day. Butler launched pop-up shops at the Miami Open while he also collaborated with Lids at Miami Beach – but he’s targeting a $100 cup of coffee as the key to success.
