“Heard we are all posting threads…” said Kate Upton, wife of Justin Verlander as she posted a picture in a bikini on the thread
After Justin Verlander won the World Series with the Houston Astros last season and received his third Cy Young Award, perhaps Kate Upton ought to have made him retire. She didn’t, so he chose to forego the opportunity and take his skills to New York City, where the Mets have since performed far below expectations.

The $86 million, two-year contract is certainly nice. However, kicking back with the 31-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model would also be enjoyable. With 13 starts under his belt, Justin Verlander has a 3.72 ERA and a 3-5 record.
There is no doubt that those stats won’t be enough to win a fourth Cy Young. How has Kate been spending her time while the Mets struggle?

Being a mum, working on brand deals, and occasionally updating her more than 6 million Instagram followers on what’s happening is what she does when she isn’t at the games, sitting through rough outing after a rough outing.
She did things like go to a Taylor Swift performance, write a Happy Father’s Day message, and remember her own birthday. Pretty mundane and uninteresting stuff.

Kate lagged behind most after the release of the Threads app since she wasn’t as engaged on social media as she once was. However, she more than made up for it last week with her first post on the Twitter rival.
“Heard we are all posting threads,” said Kate beside a vintage photo of herself in a bikini from a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo shoot.

Will the three-time SI Swimsuit cover model ramp up the content on Threads, where with only two postings, she has amassed over 100,000 followers?
The answer is probably no, going by her recent social media activities. But when she starts out by dropping a bikini throwback, it is at least something to pay attention to.

She has made six separate appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, where she was previously named Rookie of the Year.
She might get the itch to step back in front of the camera after viewing one too many throwbacks. She would not be the first spouse of a retired athlete to do so.
