‘He was threatening my life’ – Draymond Green explains why he had fan ejected during Warriors-Bucks clash

Draymond Green has been grabbing headlines lately for his altercations. However, they’re not with players on the court, but with fans that keep heckling him while he is in action for the Golden State Warriors.

The four-time NBA champion recently ejected a fan during the Warriors’ clash against the Milwaukee Bucks in the third quarter of the game. Green later claimed that the fan in the Fiserv Forum stadium was ‘threatening his life.’ The 32-year-old also explained that he was prepared to jump into the crowd to confront the fan but instead, informed the officials at the game.

As per reports, the fan was in fact a supporter of the Warriors but was unimpressed by Green’s performance against the Bucks, who were dominating the reigning NBA champions.

What did Draymond Green say about the fan he ejected?

While speaking to reporters after the game, Draymond addressed the incident. The Warriors star said, “[He said] some threatening stuff to my life. I was this close to really going back, diving all the way in, but I kinda just went back, and told the official. When I told the official what he said, he’s like ‘He gotta get outta here.’

Only a few weeks ago, Green was involved in another altercation with a fan during the game against the Dallas Mavericks. The four-time All-Star was fined $25,00 for using obscene language towards the supporter.

Now, it remains to be seen whether the NBA addresses this issue, which is fast becoming a problem between players and fans. The Warriors will take on the Indiana Pacers later on Wednesday night.
