“He Seems Like the Kinda Guy Who Might Do Some Coke”- Joe Rogan on Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor signed for the UFC as a two-division world champion for Cage Warriors, a European MMA organization. However, ‘The Notorious’ was still not able to make his ends meet just by income got in from his fighting career. Fast forward nine years and ‘Mystic Mac’ is the highest-paid combat athlete in the world and in 2021 was the highest-paid athlete in the world period.
The fame and money that Conor McGregor has earned has come with a fair share of pitfalls as well. ‘The Notorious’ seems to have lost his desire for competition as he looks a shade of his former self in his recent outings. To add to that, given his antics on social media, there is a growing concern that McGregor indulges extensively in alcohol and other addictions. Not to mention that of late, Conor McGregor has been finding himself on the wrong side of the law multiple times for which he has gotten arrested as well.
In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan shared a rather interesting insight on Conor McGregor. He said, “The world of the heroin user is such a strange world… you could do coke I guess. You could party and still have your life together, like allegedly Conor McGregor does coke. I don’t know if he does coke but he seems like the kinda guy who might do some coke. But that is like a party drug that sometimes people can do and be fine, but if you heard Conor was shooting heroin, you’d be like what?”
