“He Is Going to Have That Sex Change”- Jorge Masvidal Forsees a Drastic Shift in Career for Colby Covington After UFC 272
Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington will headline UFC 272 this Saturday. The fight has been a long time coming ever since Covington adopted his new persona and embraced the role of the trash-talking villain. Covington, who was friends and teammates with Masvidal, was kicked out of American Top Team where he started his MMA journey.
Since then, Covington has targeted multiple people from ‘ATT’ including the likes of Dustin Poirier, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Amanda Nunes among others. In a recent interview with ‘The Count’ Michael Bisping, ‘Gamebred’ detailed what Covington’s fate would be after their fight on Saturday night.
He said, “I’m surprised he did not mention Amanda on people he wants to fight in the future. Because, I am almost positive after I’m f***ing baptize his a**, he is going to have that sex change and then maybe try and get a title on that side.”
Jorge Masvidal on the message he wants to deliver through this fight at UFC 272
Even before he blew up in stardom, Jorge Masvidal was a man of few words. ‘Gamebred’ was not one to talk trash and preferred to let his actions do the talking. Win or lose, fans are always guaranteed a war every time Jorge Masvidal steps inside the octagon. While it has taken time, success has come his way, after over two decades in the sport, Masvidal is finally being recognized for all the work he has put in.
Covington, on the other hand, has taken the polar opposite route to Masvidal in terms of fight promotion. Although ‘Chaos’ is an extremely good fighter, his skills on the microphone play a significant role in interests for his fight.

Masvidal has stated that his aim with this fight is to prove that talking trash and crossing lines is not the right way to promote a fight. ‘Gamebred’ believes that Covington’s blueprint is not something up-and-coming fighters should aspire to follow. Needless to say, both fighters have a lot on the line at UFC 272. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top since this fight will way heavy on both fighters careers.
