The series’ trailer, which was produced by filmmaker Robert Alexander and the Film 45 firm, was made available by HBO on Monday. His time in the NBA and his post-playing career off the court are both covered in the extended series.

He was excellent at dominating, and in the late 1990s and early 2000s, he ruled the NBA. One of the most decorated players in league history, “Big Diesel” blocked every shot, dunked on every opponent, shattered a couple of backboards, and more.

In the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal achieved a great deal. He has won four world championships, three MVP awards for the Finals, the league MVP, and Rookie of the Year (in 1993). In addition, he has been selected for 14 All-NBA Team appearances and 15 All-Star appearances. He has also won the All-Star MVP award three times. O’Neal ranks eighth among all-time greats on The Athletic’s list of the top 75 players in NBA history.

He and the late Kobe Bryant shared the NBA championship in his debut season.

As the new millennium began, Bryant and O’Neal quickly established themselves as the league’s most unstoppable team. The LA Lakers achieved success by working hard and staying at the top of the mountain for three years in a row. O’Neal was, without a doubt, the team’s best player at the moment. During the Lakers’ three-peat championship run, he took home all three MVP awards for the Finals.

At the age of 38, O’Neal played his final season in the NBA with the Celtics in 2010–11. During that time, he started 36 games for Boston and averaged 9.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest. However, a calf injury kept him out of much of the second half of the season.

Shaq’s early life, the ascent to the NBA, and time spent with the Orlando Magic are all covered in the first episode of the SHAQ television series. On Nov. 23, it will premiere on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
