Have Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars qualified for the NFL Playoffs?

The Jacksonville Jaguars recorded their seventh win in Week 16 as they took down Zach Wilson and the New York Jets 3-19 on Thursday night. Trevor Lawrence may not have been at his best but the quarterback still managed to outperform Wilson as he threw for 229 yards with his 20 passes. He also added 51 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground.

The Jaguars are now in 2nd place on the AFC South table and have seven wins with eight losses. Doug Pederson’s side completely controls their own chances of reaching the playoffs.

The Jaguars have won their last three games and pulled away from the Indianapolis Colts, who are third in the division. Jacksonville is also level on wins with division leaders the Tennessee Titans, who have seven defeats and play the Houston Texans later on Sunday in Week 16.

As things stand, the Jaguars have to win only one more game to qualify for the playoffs. They can also rely on the Colts losing a game. If the Colts are unable to win all of their remaining three games, the Jaguars will book their spot in the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars remaining fixtures for the regular season in 2022-23

The Jaguars will face the Houston Texans in Week 17 of the NFL season as they kickstart the new year on January 1, 2023. Their final game of the regular season will be against the Tennessee Titans, which could potentially decide the divisional title.

Trevor Lawrence will be key for the Jaguars if they are to win their division. The quarterback is in his second season with the team but is now showing his class.
