‘Hard to disagree with it’ – NFL fans react as Bills QB Josh Allen named ‘scariest player’

It’s no secret that Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is expected to perform well this season. Heck, because they are considered the Super Bowl favourites, his entire squad has huge expectations.

Allen came in third place behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers in a recent ESPN piece that questioned 50 NFL executives. Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was positioned one slot ahead of him.

”There isn’t a single NFL player who is scarier to defend than Josh Allen”, according to ESPN writer Field Yates. Josh Allen has the potential to be as dominant a player in the NFL this year as any other at his best, in his opinion. He is Yates’ MVP choice for the upcoming season.

Allen led the Bills to the AFC Divisional round with his passing last year, finishing with 4407 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Yates praised Allen’s performance in the Bills’ 42-36 overtime defeat to the Chiefs in the season finale, calling it “probably the perfect game of football.” Allen completed 27 of his 37 passes for 329 yards and four touchdowns, all to Gabriel Davis the receiver. Allen added 68 running yards and no interceptions while throwing.

Fans were then quick to respond to suggestions that Allen is the ‘scariest’ player in the NFL

One fan said ‘’I really love josh Allen and there is no one close to as scary as him in game when he has the ball with him’’ A Second suggested ‘’This guys argument basically is an example of why Mahomes is the scariest guy in the league, Allen arguably was perfect against the Chiefs and Mahomes still outperformed him on that day’’ while a third suggested, ‘I think there are many scary players in the NFL, but Allen isn’t one of them. ‘’He’s a better Cam Newton in his prime. Smarter and more accurate. Takes fewer hits and yet runs a ton. I have no idea how my pats are going to ever beat this guy. ‘’
