Hanna Cavinder’s unexpected return to Miami after a basketball hiatus surprises many

Basketball drew her back in just when she was beginning to doubt her abilities. After taking a year off from basketball, Hanna Cavinder stated on Wednesday that she will be joining the University of Miami team again the following season.

“My last season of basketball was one of the most successful & challenging yrs of my life but it helped me grow immensely,” On X, she wrote.

“The past few months I have been itching to get back to the game that I thought I lost the passion for. With that being said, I am returning for one more szn.”

Haley, Cavinder’s twin sister, had previously given up on basketball last year, but she later declared in November that she would attend TCU for the 2024–2025 campaign.

It would not be shocking if Haley went to Miami to reunite with her sister in the world of NIL and the transfer portal that exists now.

The twins attended Fresno State to start their collegiate basketball career before moving to Miami for the 2022–2023 campaign.

In 2023 March Madness, the Hurricanes squad defeated Indiana, the top-seeded team, and advanced to the Elite Eight before falling to LSU, the eventual winners of the competition.

The Cavinder twins are titans of social media and NIL.

It was claimed in June of last year that they made $2 million from NIL agreements.

They hinted at a potential WWE career a month later.

They posted a second video with the message, “Us on our way to be the next twin tag team in the WWE.”

Haley said on Instagram that she was “the last rodeo #committed” after she made her about-face in November and decided to compete for TCU.

The twins are eligible for a fifth year of collegiate basketball because of COVID-19 restrictions, even though they have each played four seasons.
