“Going to be Some Dumb Sh*t That You Do”: Ex-Warriors Superstar Comes in Ja Morant’s Defense Following Flashing Gun Saga
Star of the Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant has been enmeshed in the off-court controversy for the past week. The All-Star point guard is also being discussed for his most shocking deed, along with new developments from earlier instances. Ja Morant demonstrated a pistol while live-streaming on Instagram on Friday night while out at a bar. Pictures soon went global, and the league moved to take action. Despite admitting misconduct, Arenas has stepped forward to defend himself.
Gilbert Arenas has previously been the target of comparable anger after pointing a gun at a teammate. He attempted to portray the incident as the acts of impressionable young people while he was talking on his show.

Ja Morant receives support from Gilbert Arenas
“When we’re young, we do stupid s**t,” Arenas said. “We’re trying to pretend that 23 is real old? 23 with a lot of money, there’s going to be some dumb s**t you do. Some of us get caught, some of us don’t.”
“If I’m the owner, I’m going to do what every owner does: pretend I don’t see it. I don’t see nothing. Just grow up a little bit faster. You got too much time on your hands. You got to put Ja around somebody who’s been the same way and actually got out of it safely.”

Arenas, who reportedly pulled a pistol on a colleague and kept guns in his locker, is obviously not taking the Morant issue as seriously as others. Given an episode in 2009 in which he acknowledged taking unloaded firearms into the Washington Wizards locker room, his remarks are contentious. It is said that one Christmas Eve, he and a colleague pulled firearms on each other.

All of this comes after Ja Morant was allegedly involved in two attack cases. One featured a Memphis mall security officer, and the other took place at Morant’s house with a 17-year-old. Morant, however, is accepting responsibility for his deeds and feels bad about disappointing those close to him.
