“Go Be With Your Kids”- Seven-Time Super Bowl Winner Tom Brady Urged to Retire by Fellow NFL Player

There will most probably never be a quarterback as decorated as Tom Brady. The man from San Mateo, California, won six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots before switching teams and winning another one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He holds almost every record there is for a quarterback to hold and his place, as the greatest of all time, is unquestionable.

However, as is the case with most athletes, they just can not defy age beyond a certain point. Brady won his seventh Super Bowl as a 43-year-old, which in itself is a record. However, when the 2023 season starts Brady will be 46. Naturally, his performances have declined over the years. While they have still been very good by the standards of a regular quarterback, they haven’t been on the same standard as the ‘GOAT’.

Tom Brady urged by a fellow NFL player to hang up his gloves

In a recent interview, Jordan Poyer of the Buffalo Bills, urged Tom Brady to hang up his gloves and spend more time at home with his children. He said, “Go be with your kids, man. I didn’t like watching that game. You know, It was hard to watch. You’re down 27-0 at halftime.”

Poyer continued, “You know, he was defeated. You could see he was defeated. I still think he obviously knows everything about everything, the insides and out of football, but it takes 11 to play the game. Go be with your kids, Tom. I appreciate everything you’ve done in this league,”

A number of Tom Brady’s well-wishers want him to retire, however, that does not look like something that will happen given how competitive Brady still is. For Tom Brady, he has nothing left to prove. Another ring will not change his legacy in the slightest.

However, if he does continue pursuing another ring and never gets it, it might come at the cost of his marriage if reports are to be believed.
