This week, two exhibition games took place in the Las Vegas region between the predicted top two picks in the 2023 NBA draft. The G League Ignite and Scoot Henderson travelled to play Victor Wembanyama and the French team Metropolitans 92. Wembanyama, a 7-foot-3 generational talent, is expected to be selected first overall, while Henderson has spent the last two seasons competing in the G League and has plenty of experience playing against players of a professional calibre

It doesn’t happen often, but this week Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson squared up as the two prospects considered to be the best in their respective NBA draft classes.

At the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada, Wembanyama’s French club, Metropolitans 92, travelled across the border for two exhibition games against Henderson’s G League Ignite team.

On the same court, 200 NBA executives and scouts got the chance to assess the towering Frenchman and explosive guard.

On national television, both players lived up to the anticipation and proved why they had received so much attention in recent years.
