Full list of Minnesota Vikings Roster Cuts ahead of NFL 2022-23 season

Before the 2022 season begins in less than two weeks, the Minnesota Vikings roster has made its last cuts to the team to bring it down to 53 players.

The Minnesota Vikings have taken the necessary steps to ensure that their roster is in a position to accommodate any upcoming changes before the start of the regular season.

In their first offseason in charge of the organization, new Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O’Connell have assumed control of this roster and made significant adjustments. Particularly in light of some of the names that were omitted from this first 53, the method by which they compiled the roster is unquestionably noteworthy.

Fortunately for Minnesota, the offensive side of the ball appears to have a lot of depth. Although no trade has yet taken place, the running backs showed exceptional play in exhibitions, making Alexander Mattison expendable.

The new administration is prompt to correct prior errors.

I do want to point out some of the positive aspects of the Draft class Rick Spielman brought to Minnesota before I go on to criticize the entire group. Christian Darrisaw, Kene Nwangwu, Cam Bynum, and Ihmir Smith-Marsette were all selected by Spielman in the Vikings’ final selection, and they all appear to be ready to make an impact in 2022.

Before the start of the regular season, there will be other moves.

With the moves made by the Vikings, so many outstanding veterans were let go, which presents an opportunity to increase that depth, which is quite unsettling. Although Minnesota has no motive to hurry anything, they ought to be considered whenever it makes sense to bolster the roster’s depth.

The trades the Vikings made on cut day hinted at the possibility of one or two more significant changes. First, they acquired defensive tackle Ross Blacklock, a previous top-50 Draft pick, through a trade with the Houston Texans. Armon Watts is replaced by Blacklock on the 53-man roster in a cost-effective move.
