Full list of Baltimore Ravens Roster Cuts ahead of NFL 2022-23 season
Like every year, there were some unexpected developments regarding the Baltimore Ravens as well as the rest of the NFL. These are the movements we’ll cover today.
Here are the key Baltimore Ravens roster updates from the past 48 hours.
1) Kenyan Drake is acquired by the Ravens
It’s crucial to remember that surprise doesn’t necessarily imply evil in this situation. In reality, albeit unexpected, the addition of Kenyan Drake is undoubtedly a move that will strengthen the Ravens’ backfield.
The Las Vegas Raiders unexpectedly released Drake on Tuesday, and the Baltimore Ravens snatched him up the following day. It makes perfect sense for the squad to get another seasoned running back.
2) Isaiah Mack is released by the Ravens
Ravens cuts: QB Anthony Brown, RB Tyler Badie, FB Ben Mason, NT Isaiah Mack, LB Zakoby McClain, RB Nate McCrary, OLB Jeremiah Moon, DT Rayshad Nichols, TE Tony Poljan, WR Makai Polk, CB David Vereen, WR Binjimen Victor, DB Ar'Darius Washington, WR Raleigh Webb, OLB Chuck Wiley

One of Baltimore’s top players over the summer, Isaiah Mack fought hard to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. But in the end, it just wasn’t meant to be.
Mack was reinstated by the Ravens on their practice squad, and it comes as a surprise in and of itself that he was able to avoid being placed on the waiver wire. Mack’s continued membership in the company is something Eric DeCosta and the rest of the team should be grateful for.
3) Tony Jefferson cannot be retained by the Ravens
The fact that Tony Jefferson was one of those released on Tuesday wasn’t entirely unexpected. The sixth safety on the depth chart and nine-year NFL veteran was never a lock to make the 53-man roster.
Nevertheless, the majority of people believed that Jefferson would either be reinstated on a handshake agreement or on the practice squad. It was at least expected that if Jefferson did depart, it would be due to a chance for him to be on an active roster somewhere else. Jefferson just reconnected with his former defensive coordinator Wink Martindale by joining the New York Giants practice squad.
4) Tyre Phillips released
The release of offensive lineman Tyre Phillips by the Ravens over the past 48 hours was the team’s most unexpected move. It’s not like waiving Phillips is illogical.
Ben Powers won the starting left guard position from the former third-round pick, who was the subject of trade rumors leading up to cutdown day. However, few anticipated that the team would simply let him go.
