Free Agent Randall Cobb & Ex-Teammate Engaged In A Back & Forth Roast

Last month as New York remains linked to a potential trade for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb was anticipated to be on the Jets’ radar in the upcoming days of free agency, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Cobb’s news from Schefter comes after he claimed that the Jets are “actively working” to sign Allen Lazard, another Packers free-agency receiver. In recent years, Rodgers has made both pass catchers in Green Bay his top targets.

Former Packers players, including one of the newest Jets players, took note of Randall Cobb’s most recent Instagram post.

The free-agent wide receiver is seen working out in a gym in a video posted on Monday as he gets ready for his next chapter in the NFL after his second stint with Green Bay.

“We may not know which way to go on this dark road…,” the 32-year-old Cobb captioned the clip.

Allen Lazard, a recently acquired Jets receiver, quickly made fun of Cobb for posting the picture on the same day that Aaron Rodgers was traded from Green Bay to New York.

Lazard, 27, made fun of the deal in the captions, saying, “Bruh saw the trade go through and got right to it.”

Kurt Benkert, a former Packers quarterback, said, “Timing + execution, well done.”

For Cobb, last season wasn’t particularly noteworthy. With the Packers, he made 13 appearances and hauled in 34 passes for 417 yards. Cobb and Rodgers shared the field for ten seasons. Cobb played for the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
