Free Agent Odell Beckham Jr Kicked off a Flight for Refusing to Wear a Seat Belt and Drifting Out of Consciousness

Odell Beckham Jr is currently nursing a knee injury that has forced him to miss the majority of the 2022 season after winning the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams last year. During the off-season, ‘OBJ’ has been on the hit list for a number of clubs, most notably the Dallas Cowboys and the Indianapolis Colts

Beckham Jr has been recovering and making sure that he returns to action as soon as possible and as fit as possible. Unfortunately for him, recent troubles might not necessarily reflect him in the best possible light for potential suitors. Odell Beckham Jr was kicked off a flight that was LA-bound taking off from Miami. According to the crew, Beckham Jr refused to wear his seat belt and was drifting in and out of consciousness while the plane was on the runway.

American called first responders, as they were worried for his health, but when the cavalry arrived, Odell is alleged to have refused to get off the plane which forced everyone else to deplane, before OBJ finally walked off on his own with uniformed officers in tow.

Odell Beckham Jr finds himself in trouble once again

A few hours after this incident took place, Beckham Jr’s lawyer, Daniel Davilier, released a statement giving his client’s side of the story. According to Davilier, ‘OBJ’ was completely conscious during the entire fiasco. The lawyer insists that his client had just slept off and when he was woken up, he was asked to get off the flight without any prior notice.

Davilier also insists that the details of the issue and the issue itself were blown out of proportion, which makes both ‘OBJ’ and the situation look a lot worse than it actually is.

This incident comes at a time when Odell Beckham Jr is just a few weeks away from being fit again. At this point in time, there are multiple teams seriously interested in him and such incidents only hurt his ability to command a better deal and convince a team that he will not be a liability for them.
