Former Soccer WAG Suzi Walker Warned Girls Who Are Dreaming Of Becoming A WAG. Look What She Said

Suzi Walker, 53, was a glamor model who was accustomed to lavish vacations, opulent homes, and high-end apparel. Most girls would be envious of her lifestyle.

She spent twelve years married to Ian Walker, a fifty-two-year-old former goalkeeper for Tottenham Hotspur and England. The couple produced a daughter, Sophie, who is currently 24 years old.

Suzi has now discussed the negative aspects of being a WAG and discussed the couple’s 2008 divorce, which was brought on by the footballer’s extramarital affair in Las Vegas.

The former WAG said to The Sun: ‘I’m not saying all footballers are the same, but when Cameron [her daughter] recently said she’d been asked on a date by a young player, I was concerned.

‘If she’d said she was meeting a lawyer or a doctor, I’d have felt better. She went anyway, of course. But it got me thinking: if I lived my life again, would I have rather married a doctor? Maybe, yes.’

Thinking back on her history, she acknowledged: ‘There was a time when all I wanted was the newest watch or bag, but now I realise what’s important.

‘There is nothing better than feeling content and safe in a relationship.

‘I still hold some wonderful memories from my marriage with Ian, but no amount of money could compensate for the years of vulnerability and second-guessing.

‘Also, absolutely nothing is worth the pain of being so publicly betrayed.’

When Suzi learned that her husband had slept with a lap dancer in Las Vegas, her “world collapsed,” which led to their 2008 divorce, which is the betrayal she is alluding to.

Following their 2018 wedding, she is currently wed to businessman Mark Pitman.

Her previous relationship lasted eight years, during which time she gave birth to their daughter Cameron with former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan.

Her life, she said, was a “WAG fairytale,” in which she saw her husband compete against England in Euro 96 and relished the “finest of everything.”

Suzi claimed that she would always insist on drinking pricey Cristal champagne and that she and her friends would purchase for opulent Gucci and Prada merchandise.

She remembered spending ‘thousands and thousands of pounds’ on Cartier watches with diamond encrustations.

She acknowledged that the football player was receiving plenty of “female attention,” but she also said that it was a “lonely reality” because women were constantly lining up to replace her.

As the wife of a footballer, you feel you have to keep on top of your game, and that can be exhausting’ she continued.

The admission follows shortly after the former page 3 girl incurred debt totaling £500,000 and was compelled to pawn thousands of pounds’ worth of jewelry.

To make ends meet, she pawned and sold “everything she could,” even taking offers of money far less than the actual value of the goods.

In addition, she discovered she had a chronic condition that had gone untreated for years, and she was forced to spend £60,000 on medical care.

It is based on a recent documentary on Amazon Prime that was released in February and explores the wives of football players.

Viewers are guided through the ups and downs of their lives as members of this privileged world by Sara Gundogan, Samantha Tarkowski, Ash Turner, Taylor Ward, and Cat Harding.

The program questions deeply held beliefs about what it means to be a football player’s partner, including extravagant spending, unfathomable splendor, and getting married thanks to a big Hello! check that was solidified in the early 2000s despite evidence to the contrary.
