Former NFL Cornerback D.J. Hayden Died In A Car Crash In Houston
Six people were slain in a car accident on Saturday morning, including former NFL cornerback D.J. Hayden, according to the Houston Police Department.
Hayden was thirty-three.

According to authorities, they received a call around 2 a.m. concerning a traffic accident, with two vehicles involved, a Chrysler 300 and an Acura SUV. The Chrysler was deemed the at-fault vehicle as it went through a red light at a high rate of speed.

Two of the individuals were declared dead at the scene, and four more were taken to a nearby hospital where they later passed away. Five men, one of whom the police claimed to be homeless, and one woman were among the dead. The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the precise circumstances.
In addition to playing for the Raiders for four of his eight NFL seasons, Hayden also played for Detroit, Jacksonville, and Washington.

Four people were listed as dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department, one of whom was Zach McMillian, Hayden’s fellow cornerback at Houston.
According to authorities, four individuals were taken to the hospital; two of them have now passed away, and one woman is believed to have injuries that might kill her.

A teammate had inadvertently kneed Hayden in the chest during practice, causing a hit to the major vein that connected to his heart. Hayden had previously survived a near-fatal cardiac injury in 2012.
Despite having a potentially fatal cardiac injury during his 2012 season at Houston due to a teammate’s blow to his chest during a workout, Hayden was chosen by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

In addition to playing eight seasons in the league, Hayden also played for three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, one season with each of the Detroit Lions and Washington.
At the end of his NFL career, he had 46 pass breakups, 4 interceptions, and 4.5 sacks.
