Former NFL CB Bashaud Breeland Arrested For Car Theft, Possession Of Shrooms & Marijuana

According to a report from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, former Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Commander’s cornerback Bashaud Breeland was apprehended in Mecklenburg County this week in a stolen car.

Records indicate that the eight-year NFL veteran was jailed at 2:12 a.m. on Tuesday morning and identified eight charges against which he is accused. These offences include having a stolen car, a stolen gun, and two distinct kinds of illicit substances in your hands.

Breeland had two AR-15s and two AK-47s, five pounds of marijuana, and 62 grams of mushrooms in the car.

According to the police report’s specifics, Breeland was operating a stolen Mercedes-Benz SUV.

Breeland, 31, will have a lot of issues to deal with. He faces many drug-related allegations in addition to possession of a stolen car, tampering with serial numbers, changing title, and possession of a stolen handgun.

The accident happened on Monday. Following his arrest, Breeland was released from custody after posting a $30,000 bail.

Bashaud Breeland hasn’t officially retired, but with his second arrest, it’s unlikely that any organization will consider him as a feasible option.

Breeland, a South Carolina native, played college football at Clemson before being selected by Washington in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Breeland is originally from Allendale. He played for four different clubs, but his two seasons with the Chiefs stand out above the others. He played on the Super Bowl 54 squad, and in Kansas City’s 31-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, he recorded an interception.

Breeland signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Panthers in 2018, but the pact was voided after he failed his physical.

At the time, Breeland stated, “I lost a deal with them during a trying time in my career, and it’s back home.”

Therefore, I would have to overcome several obstacles only to play for that one team.

In 107 games throughout his NFL career, he had 101 starts, and he had 16 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and 63 combined tackles.
