When this incident happened, Bjelica was out in Belgrade, Serbia, with his kids. The attacker then lunged at him, attempting to cut him with scissors. In the midst of all of this, he sent Bjelica a scary message.

The assailant launched a barrage of obscenities at the 35-year-old. “I will take your family, your children, your wife, and you. He reportedly told the 35-year-old basketball star, “I will take your money,” adding that he “would stab him with scissors.”

Thank goodness, no one was hurt, including Nemanja Bjelica. Before the assailant reached anybody, the cops managed to subdue him and place him under custody.

Before the court could determine his punishment, Nikola Petkovic, a football player for both Crvena Zvezda and other European teams like Eintracht Frankfurt, was apprehended right away and held in custody for 48 hours. There will be further decisions taken, it was declared.

The 35-year-old Bjelica is relishing his second year without playing in the NBA. Despite being chosen in 2010, the 6-foot-10 forward did not play professionally until five years later. Over the course of his seven-year tenure, Bjelica was traded across the league. He made trips with the Miami Heat, Sacramento Kings, and Minnesota Timberwolves, among others.

2022 was Bjelica’s most prosperous year to date. He had the opportunity to play for a championship squad as a member of the Golden State Warriors. After winning the championship, the quick-witted forward made the decision to retire from competition.

Did Bjelica leave the Warriors?

He was dealt to the Miami Heat in 2021, and in the offseason, he signed a contract with the Golden State Warriors. In 2022, he won an NBA championship with the Warriors. Fenerbahçe Beko and Bjelica in 2022.

Why is Nemanja Bjelica not in the NBA?

After the season, he rejoined his former side, Fenerbache, although he only appeared in seven games due to an injury he sustained while playing for the Serbian national team. It seems like Bjelica’s remarkable career is coming to an end due to injuries.

Did Nemanja Bjelica receive his ring?

Golden State Warriors on Instagram: “Chiozza and Bjelica, the 2022 champions, received their championship rings today.”
